A large made-up section at the upper centre.

An attribution to the 16th century Bolognese artist Girolamo Mirola (c.1520-1570) has been suggested, as the horses depicted here are very similar to those found in his paintings and frescoes.



A tentative attribution to the Emilian painter Lelio Orsi (1511-1587) has also been posited.
