An illustration for a 1911 issue of Puckmagazine, an American weekly humour magazine of political and social cartoons and caricatures, published between 1871 and 1918. Founded in 1871 in St. Louis, Missouri by the Austrian-born cartoonist Joseph Keppler, Puckwas printed in both German and English language editions, and by 1877 was being published in New York. From 1887 until its demise in 1918, the magazine was based at the Puck Building on the corner of Lafayette and Houston streets in New York.
