Only a handful of works by Léonie de Loghadès are known, almost all of which are pastel portraits. 
The daughter of the Russian painter Fedor Petrovich Tchoumakoff(1832-1911), Léonie Tchoumakoff married A. C. de Loghadès Effendi, the Turkish ambassador in Paris, in 1882. She is known to have enrolled in the Académie Julian, the well-known private art school in Paris, in 1903, when she would have been in her mid-forties, and also exhibited at the Salon des Artistes Français.
